Americans United for Life named Arkansas the nation's most pro-life state for the seventh consecutive year, citing the state's near-total abortion ban and passage of 65 pro-life laws since 1973. The announcement was made at New Beginnings Pregnancy Center in Alexander, highlighting Arkansas' 2025 allocation of over $5 million for pregnancy centers and ongoing efforts to restrict abortion access, including challenges related to abortion pills and assisted suicide.

Arkansas, along with Louisiana and Alabama, filed lawsuits challenging shield laws in New York, Massachusetts, and California that protect providers of mail-order abortion pills from legal action by states with abortion bans. These lawsuits argue that such shield laws violate the Constitution's full faith and credit clause by undermining Arkansas's near-total abortion ban and its enforcement authority.

Operation Save America, a Florida-based anti-abortion group, demonstrated twice this week outside Little Rock Central High School, drawing pushback from students, parents, and community members. The group aimed to raise awareness about abortion in Arkansas, which currently enforces a near-total abortion ban following the 2022 Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v.
