Despite these statistics, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has refused to extend Medicaid for new mothers, while promoting Arkansas as the most pro-life state based on laws restricting abortion and protecting the unborn.

Operation Save America protesters held an anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ demonstration at Little Rock Central High School, where students, including homecoming court member Kaya Dillon, responded with loud heckling and a rape whistle. The group later continued their protests at the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway.
